I was super excited for this engagement session.  It was my first time going all the way to Chicago for a session.  Erika and Justin live in Chicago and they really wanted to get some photos at Lincoln Park Zoo since that is were they got engaged just a few months earlier.

Justin had planned this whole surprize involving both their friends and family.  They were going to spend the day at the park with Justin’s sister and her boyfriend.  Both on them were in on the whole thing.  They stopped to take pictures on the bridge looking over the south pond.  When Erika turned around, Justin was down on one knee. He had even hired a local photographer to capture the whole thing.  A few minutes later, both Erika and Justin’s family came down the bridge to congratulate them.  But the surprises did not end there.  When they went out to brunch to celebrate, Erika’s best friends from Wash U, had flown in from Texas to be there for the engagement.  It was the perfect day.

They are now getting married in Michigan next summer.  I can’t wait!
