Muskegon backyard wedding: Ariel and Eric

I have been following Ariel and Eric’s story since winter last year.  They live all the way down in Florida but decided to have their wedding in Eric’s home town of Muskegon at his parents house.  Eric has very fond memories of that place, that is also why they wanted to do their engagement session there.  You can check out their engagement session in the link below.  This was not a typical wedding though.  Ariel and Eric ended up having two ceremonies.  The main ceremony with all their friends and family would be at the house, but they also decided to have a person vow ceremony before hand at Berean church, which happened to be the church that Eric’s parents got married in.  This was really sweet because we were able to recreate some of his parents weddings photos there.

Between the church and the ceremony back at the house, the wedding party was able to sneak off for some fun photos at the beach.  This really was a fun group of people.  Once we were done exploring the beaches of Muskegon, we all headed back for the main ceremony.  It was cloudy all day before now, but the sun decided to peak out just in time for the beautiful backyard ceremony, lighting it up perfectly.  Make sure you don’t miss the who the adorable ring bearer was.  The rings were brought down by Eric’s parents hairless cat, tied to it’s tiny vest.  I got to meet Ariel and Eric’s adorable cat’s too later that day.

After the ceremony it was time to party.  They had everything at this backyard wedding.  Yard games, two different bars, a photobooth,  and even a cheese bar (my personal fav)!  After all the toasts were done and all the delicious food was eaten it was time to get onto the dance floor.  I was introduced to a new wedding/drinking game, Thunderstruck.  As you might guess, it is played to the AC/DC song, Thunderstruck. It is basically a chain drinking game and it was so much fun to watch.  Before the night was over, I was able to get one last photo of the whole group!  This really was a fun wedding and I am so happy I got to help document it.

Congratulations Ariel and Eric!  I wish you two the best and hope you two have an amazing life together. Cheers!
