Megan and David: Winter Engagement

Megan and David’s proposal story is super cute. The day started like any other, with Megan having no idea what was about to unfold. David had planned the perfect surprise proposal, and he certainly delivered. With both of them having the day off, he took the opportunity to make it extra special. The evening began with dinner at Megan’s favorite restaurant—hibachi. When they got home, David set up a mesmerizing projector display of the night sky in their apartment living room. Originally, he had planned to do it outside, but the rain forced a change of plans, making the indoor setting feel even more intimate.

As Megan and David relaxed, talked, and listened to music under the stars, he began reminiscing about their journey together. As he connected each moment back to the beginning of their love story, Megan slowly realized that everything he was saying fit together a little too perfectly—it had all been planned. The moment the realization hit, she gasped as David revealed the ring and proposed. It was a low-key, intimate, and absolutely perfect moment for both of them.

I was so excited when Megan and David decided to hire me as their wedding photographer. Their engagement photos took place at Saugatuck Dunes State Park, and winter decided to show up again just for that weekend. Megan and David handled the cold super well though. They were also down for all my silly games too, which even included chasing each other in the snow. It was not hard for me to get adorable photos of them since they were already super bubbly and so smitten with each other. I can’t wait till their wedding this fall!
