Fall wedding in Holland: Alicia and Jed

Alicia and Jed met on Easter Sunday when their mutual friends invited several people over for Easter dinner.  They hung out a couple more times after that with the same mutual friends.  It did not take them long before they discovered they had very similar interest and wanted to get to know each other more.  Alicia and Jed’s first date was at Stout’s Pub.  They ended up closing down the place because they couldn’t help but want to keep talking to each other.

Jed proposed after an event filled day.  They visited a museum, one of their favorite coffee shops and ended the day with a home cooked meal back at Jed’s place.  When Jed proposed after dinner, Alicia was totally surprised.   She thought they were waiting till after her custom ring was made.  Jed though had secretly gotten a beautiful mountain design ring as a placeholder until they could get the real one. As you all know, Alicia said yes.

They ended up having the perfect fall wedding.  They got married at the gorgeous Western Theological Seminary on Hope’s campus in Holland, MI.  It was a more intimate ceremony with just very close friends and family.  Before heading over to the reception, Jed and Alicia went to 205 Coffee Bar with Jed’s brother and wife, to get a drink and hangout.  This was something they really wanted to make time for.  Meanwhile, the reception was at one of my favorite venues in Holland, Boatwerks.  A beautiful restaurant, right off of Lake Macatawa. I love this venue for its outdoor patio and so did all of the guests.  They had all the yard games out and the flying toys where the favorite for the kids.  Alicia and Jed had their first dance right after sunset and it was beautiful.  After that it was time to dance and party.

Congratulations Alicia and Jed.  Thank you so much for choosing me to document your special day.  I hope you two have a beautiful life together!
